Trip
900 miles down, and quite a few more to go. We are currently in flagstaff arizona - staying in our first motel, a true uni town; i don’t think I’ve ever seen so many fast-food restaurants! Seriously whatever you want it’s here crazy.
San Francisco, Yosemite Park, and Las Vegas. All pretty amazing for different reasons. I got pretty sunburnt on day one in SF and kinda paid the price for that over a few days of a very red face & now it’s very appealing (it’s a peeling everywhere!). We got a sight seeing bus, as there would’ve been no way to see all of the city over the one & half days we were there. The fog …. wtf is up with that fog? Never seen anything quite like it. thankfully we didn’t get our car until leaving the city, i think NYC traffic is much worse, but it wasn’t that much better!
Yosemite park was quite stunning, but the drive proved quite longer than expected. I wish we had more daylight hours there,as we hardly got our the car. By the time we were out of the park and on our way to Tonopah, NV it was pitch black. Not a fun drive by any standards!
The drive over to vegas was amazing. I couldn’t get over the large expanse of nothing, towns more than 80 miles apart & when i say ‘town’ i mean tiny village of nothingness. Vegas … Or vega$$$ as it should be called, was fun and impressive but so damn expensive. A lot of walking and not as much gambling means we left there with our wallets only showing a slight dent though.
Grand canyon tomorrow. Once we find a way to get pictures from this SD card onto our mac, we shall get them up here.
Ok time to go eat some wendys, no mcdonalds … Or maybe burger king, carl jr, kfc, taco bell. There are no dunkin donuts out here, this sucks! Bring on the east coast.
